Dec. 27 - Dinner
Azul Tequila
4211 S. Lamar Blvd., Austin, TX

Highly Recommended Dishes: Chile Relleno en Crema
Avoid Like the Plague: None
Chile Relleno en Crema - slightly spicy poblano perfectly paired with salty pork with sweet raisins and smooth cream sauce
Pescado Veracruzano - olive tomato onion and marinated jalapeno sauce brings the sauteed fish a nice flavor; tina enjoyed it immensely
Both main courses were pretty much impossible to see under their sauces - but they were both tasty. I felt the chile relleno was one of the best I've ever had. Usually, I find they just hit the spicy and salty spots with the whole thing a texture of mush - but Azul Tequila fit in just the right about of sweet as well and worked in a few more textures (slivered almonds, plump raisins, and cream).
