For lunch, we (the guys at Fanpop) all decided to get sandwiches at The Sentinel (35 New Montgomery St, San Francisco, CA‎ - (415) 248-9960). Papa called it in first. I drove over, and Papa and Cliff hopped out to pick up our orders. I had the Fresh Salmon and Smoked Salmon with Fennel and Dill on Soft Roll. It was a great sandwich. (The pickle that came with it was really soft and not so great.)

My parents came up to help us out a little as we prepare to move. We all went out to dinner and I felt like sushi, so we went to Truya Sushi (3431 El Camino Real, Santa Clara, CA‎ - (408) 244-4534‎). Tina and I shared some nigiri (sake [salmon] and maguro [tuna]) as well as some edamame, seaweed salad, and an unagi tataki appetizer.

We then added an order of caterpillar roll (avocado over unagi [eel] roll) and hamachi (yellowtail) nigiri.

Scott Kim (the owner of Truya) then sent us a crane made of pineapple for dessert as well as a bottle of wine as a present for our trip (and this year's Christmas, he said)!

Scott's one of the nicest people around, so if you find yourself in the South Bay hankering for some sushi, I recommend you stop in on Truya Sushi.
