After church, Tina and I ate leftovers - she had the left over Chinese food and I had the last two slices of Papa John's pizza.

I purchased a lawn mower today and did the front lawn. By the time I was done with the lawn (and chatting with neighbors), Tina had dinner ready. We ate cauliflower with tomatoes and chicken drumsticks over rice.

I forgot my SD card at home and for some reason I didn't have a backup card in my bag… so I had to take a picture of my lunch with my cell phone. It was late and we were meeting friends in San Antonio for dinner, so we shared a panini from HEB called "the Cuban".

For dinner, Tina and I joined Braden, Kelly, and Dan at La Hacienda de los Barrios (18747 Redland Rd, San Antonio, TX‎ - (210) 497-8000‎) in North San Antonio. This restaurant was made (more) famous by an episode of Throwdown with Bobby Flay where he challenges them in making a Puffed Taco. We all ordered a puffed taco of some sort and dinner plates.

What I Ate: May 1, 2009 (Iron Cactus)

For lunch, I drove up to North Austin's Iron Cactus (10001 Stonelake Blvd., Austin, TX‎ - (512) 794-8778‎) to participate in the very first Austin Lunch 2.0. There was a fajita buffet set up. The meats were flavorful and the sauces pretty good. I wish I had a chance to go for seconds, but apparently Lunch 2.0 in Austin is different than the ones in the Bay Area. I showed up at 1pm and they practically shut down at 1:15pm. The event was supposed to run from 12 noon to 2pm. Guess people are more on time for lunch here in Texas.

For dinner, Tina stewed some pork rib tips, sauteed some squash, and made tomatoes with eggs. She wasn't happy with any of the results, but I thought they were all flavorful and pretty good.
