I had leftover dumplings that Tina pan-fried for lunch.

We didn't have any groceries, so Tina went out and bought groceries. When she got home, she had brought a roasted chicken back from HEB. We ate half the chicken along with salad and bread for dinner.

  • It seems like every grocery now sells roasted chickens. Have you tried any others?

Of the few I've had, I think Costco was the only one that wasn't disappointing. It was the only one that was moist and tasty (if not salty).

  • Costco seems to be the best I've tried. This one from HEB wasn't bad though - it was moist and had decent flavor. I haven't had a Costco one in a few years so it's hard for me to compare. The last time I had a supermarket chicken was about four years ago from Cosentino's Market and that was a huge disappointment (I remember we couldn't bear to eat the cardboard-like bird).
