What I Ate: August 27, 2009
Posted 27 August, 2009 at 10:58pm by Michael Chu(Filed under: Food, What I Ate)
Lunch: Tina and I grabbed a quick lunch at Which Wich. Tina had her normal - the gyro sandwich - and I decided to try another sandwich. I ordered a crab salad sandwich this time. I don't know why I was surprised it was imitation crab (especially when the sandwich is $5). It was a bit bland in comparison to the other sandwiches I've had at Which Wich - it's doubtful I'd get it again. So far, my favorite is their muffaletto.
Dinner: We went to eat chalupas at Manna From Heaven Restaurant (602 W Center St, Kyle, TX - (512) 268-6900) in downtown Kyle. Manna From Heaven is probably our favorite place to eat so far in Kyle. The chapula is flavorful (if you get the meat ones - we found the non-meat chalupa to be a bit bland last time) and the tortilla is so crispy. We each had a chicken and beef chalupa and a side salad.

Crab sandwiches are my guilty pleasure. Did you find any you liked in the Bay Area?

I've never been, and I know it's lobster and not crab, but I've heard Old Port Lobster Shack has great lobster rolls.
Michael seemed to like it:

Yeah, I'm not sure where to get a good crab sandwich in the Bay Area - but I do love Old Port Lobster Shack's lobster rolls.
